Do I pay anything?
No, never. Sylpen never charges you: no sign-up fee, no premium plan and nothing taken from your salary. Companies pay us a monthly plan, never a fee for hiring you.
How do I know a job is real?
Every company on Sylpen is a verified UK company, and every job shows its salary. We only ever use sylpen.ai and never send you a sign-in link to another website. Our Hiring safety page (sylpen.ai/safe-hiring) shows how we check and how to spot a fake.
Who can see my profile?
Only UK companies we have verified, when they are hiring for a role that fits you. Your current employer never sees you, and you can hide from any company you name. Nothing is shown until you publish your profile.
Are there tests?
Not for UK roles. Sylpen does not assess you. Your profile and your real work speak for you, and the companies interview you themselves.
Can I apply to jobs myself?
Yes, to job posts from verified UK companies, if you meet the role's must-haves and Syl rates you at least a good fit. If you are not a fit yet, Syl tells you why and nothing is sent. UK posts are for people living in the UK. There is no limit on how many jobs you apply to, and every application gets an answer.
How do interviews work?
When a company asks to meet you, Syl tells you who they are and why you were matched. Say yes and they book a time, and you meet on the company's own Teams, Google Meet or Zoom, or by phone. Before each round, Syl tells you what it is and what to bring.
What if I'm not looking right now?
Tell Syl where you are with work: not working and looking, in work and actively looking, in work and open to the right role, or not looking right now. If you're not looking, companies don't see your profile until you change it.
What about my salary?
Two optional answers. The salary you're looking for is shown to companies. Your private minimum is never shown to anyone; it only hides roles that pay less. You agree your salary directly with the company that hires you.
Will I hear back?
Always. Every application is answered within 10 working days. When a company decides not to go ahead, you see it on the role, with their note if they wrote one. If a company goes quiet, Syl closes it for you and tells you, so you can move on and always know where you stand.
What happens when I get an offer?
You agree the offer, salary and start date directly with the company, as their employee. Sylpen takes nothing from it.
