What companies ask about hiring designers.
Does Syl look at portfolios?
Yes. Syl reads the portfolio and case studies the person shares and grades the work against your brief, not their job title. Each line links back to the case study it came from, so you can judge the work yourself.
How does Syl grade a match?
Line by line, against the must-haves and nice-to-haves in your brief. A green line needs evidence from the person's CV, profile or answers, and each line says where it came from. Outcomes in case studies are what the person told us unless Sylpen looked them up, and the profile says which. Syl recommends; you decide who to meet.
Can I hire for commission-heavy roles?
Yes. Put the base salary and any commission or bonus in your brief. Candidates see the salary before they say yes, so the conversation starts from facts.
What does it cost?
Start on Free: one UK role with every match in full, and your first 3 meetings, no card needed. Post one job free too. To meet more people and make offers, Standard is £249 a month, or £199 a month on a 1-year plan. No hiring fee, however many you hire. Monthly plans cancel any time and run to the end of the month you've paid for.
How do you keep hiring fair?
Only UK companies Sylpen has verified can see candidates, and a candidate can hide their profile from their current employer. Syl refuses criteria that would discriminate, such as age or nationality, and suggests the lawful version. Every hiring decision is made by people.
